In light of the shooting that occurred in the parking lot of the masjid on April 23, 2024, we received communication from Shaw University’s administration that services at Masjid King Khalid will be temporarily suspended pending a thorough investigation. No further details have been provided regarding the nature or length of the investigation. The Board of Trustees is actively trying to ascertain more information and cooperate with university personnel in an effort to resume services as soon as possible. Please continue to monitor our website, WhatsApp group, and social media pages for updates.

As a reminder, we ask that all those who frequent the masjid review and abide by our Code of Conduct. Also, any violations of the Code of Conduct should be immediately reported to the Board of Directors.

We still need two things from the community. We are asking that all our supporters officially become registered members of Masjid King Khalid and indicate willingness to volunteer to make our efforts successful by the grace of Allah. Also, we are actively seeking 50 people to commit to donating $40 per month. If we reach this goal, we will be able to financially sustain this house of Allah and prove that we are worthy of this test that we have been presented. Click here to become a member and donate!
